A Moline High School Football Player Struck With Mysterious Heart Virus

A Moline High School sophomore is hospitalized in ICU after suffering from what may be a virus that is attacking his heart.

A Facebook post from a family member states that after Dakovian Kennedy suffered a concussion while playing football earlier this month and later he came down with a fever. Kennedy was taken to an emergency room the next day and he ended up at a hospital in Peoria. The post states that the medical team is not sure what the virus is.

A family member started a fundraiser on Facebook, "Dakovions Medical Fundraiser" and it raised over $5,500 in two days. That money will be used for medical expenses and bills.
