Car burglaries being reported to Henry Co. Sheriff's Office in Illinois

Following multiple recent reports of car burglaries, residents in Henry County, Illinois are being asked to lock up their vehicles and property by law enforcement.

In a Monday morning Facebook post, the Henry County Sheriff's Office said that they had received "several" complaints of vehicles and out-buildings being burglarized. "It is recommended to secure your property by locking doors as well as removing valuables from vehicles left unattended. Do what you can to safeguard your property."

The department says the reports were taken from a number of areas in the county including rural Kewanee, Atkinson, Galva, Geneseo, Colona, Andover and Orion.
