Clue Surfaces In Iowa Man's Disappearance Decades Ago

(Dubuque, Iowa) -- A car, belonging to an Iowa man reported missing more than 30 years ago has been found. Dubuque Police say the 1981 Mercury Zephyr, belonging to Paul Knockel has been pulled out of the Mississippi River near the Hawthorne Boat Ramp in Dubuque.

Knockel was reported missing on November 25, 1990. No human remains were found in the car.

Knockel, who was single, was reported missing after failing to attend a family Thanksgiving dinner. Relatives found his wallet, watch, and shoes at his house, but his car was gone.
