Two Eastern Iowa Murder Trials Delayed

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The trial for a man accused of shooting another man outside a 1st Avenue bar in Cedar Rapids last June has been delayed. Denzel Wilson has pleaded not guilty to a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Kenyauta Keith. A trial originally scheduled for May has been pushed back to October.

A trial for an Ottumwa man accused of fatally stabbing another man in the heart has also been delayed. Gary Scott has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder of Samuel Gallegos-Ramirez last October. His trial, set to begin yesterday, has been moved to May 7.
