Caitlin Clark selected first overall by Fever in WNBA Draft

No surprises to start Monday's WNBA Draft, as Iowa's Caitlin Clark was the first player selected by the Indiana Fever.

The two-time National Player of the Year going first overall means she will receive a four-year contract worth more than $330,000, according to the league's Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Clark joins the 2023 number one overall pick Aliyah Boston on the Fever, who will play 36 of their 40 regular season games on national television this season.

The Las Vegas Aces later took Iowa's Kate Martin in the 2nd round of the draft.

Indiana begins preseason play on May 3rd in Texas against the Dallas Wings. The Fever open the regular season on May 14th on the road with the Connecticut Sun.
