DAVENPORT, Iowa - An arrest has been made in the murder of 74 year old Davenport man on Tuesday.
Davenport Police arrested 19 year old Charlie Gary.
KWQC TV6 reports that Gary admitted to forcibly entering Robert Long's home on LeClaire Street to steal his car. Police say that Gary strangled Long, stole property, took the car and left. Long's vehicle was later located and that is when Gary was taken into custody.
Gary is charged with 1st degree murder, 1st degree robbery and 1st degree burglary.
