Arrest Made In Davenport Home Break-In Where Gun Was Taken

DAVENPORT, Iowa - An arrest has been made in a Davenport home break-in last week.

Davenport Police arrested 59 year old Christopher Lesher on Saturday. KWQC TV6 reports that police say Lasher broke a window on a rear door of a home on the 2100 block of West 4th Street on Thursday. Police received a call around 12 p.m. from someone reporting the burglary. They told police that the man was inside their home for about 10 minutes and took a gun.

Police report that Lesher was wearing the same clothing as the night of the burglary. That was checked by viewing surveillance video.

Lesher is charged with 3rd degree burglary and is being held on a cash-only bond of $5,000.
