(Davenport, IA) -- The city of Davenport has refused a request from their former administrator to waive a ban on speaking to the media.

The decade-long ban is part of Corri Speigel's controversial 1.6-million dollar separation agreement with the city.

In an April 1st letter to Mayor Matson and Council, she asked for freedom to speak to the media if her September letter outlining discrimination she faced at City Hall is released by a Freedom Of Information court challenge.

The city is being sued by a resident, and investigated by the State Auditor, over the handling of separation agreements with several employees.
