A Man Who Was Shot July Fourth In Rock Island Has Died

(Rock Island, IL) -- A man who was shot on the fourth of July in Rock Island has died from his injuries.

Police responded to a home in the 800 block of 24th Street on July 4th at around 10:19 p.m. and found the 46-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his chest.

He was transported to a nearby hospital.

According to Rock Island Police Chief Timothy McCloud, the man died Thursday, July 25.
