Delta Air Lines found itself inundated with grievances following its announcement of modifications to its SkyMiles loyalty program.
These adjustments, it appears, have raised the bar for achieving elite status and obtaining access to the airline's exclusive airport lounges.
In response to the clamor, Delta's CEO, Ed Bastian, conceded, stating, "There is no doubt we may have pushed the envelope too far."
Bastian recognized the imperative need for alterations to the SkyMiles program, recognizing that the demand for their premium offerings has surged to such an extent that it now surpasses their capacity to effectively deliver these services with their existing assets.
A revised SkyMiles program is poised for unveiling in the upcoming weeks.
