The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported large job increases for March but were fueled by government expansion and foreign-born works finding jobs.
In March the government hired 71,000 people which hit an all time record with averages usually around 52,000 people over a 12 month span. The total number of government employees has now reach 23,270,000 reported the BLS. Also in March, the amount of foreign-born workers employed increased by 112,000 jobs.
The unemployment rate decreased slightly from 3.9% to 3.8% as the United States added 303,000 nonfarm payroll jobs for the past month, beating many expectations of Wall Street and economists.
In the past year, the number of foreign-born workers has rapidly increased by 1,266,000 jobs added all while native-born American employment has decreased sharply by 651,000 workers.
The BLS does not acknowledge whether the foreign-born workers have entered the country illegally or via legal avenues, rather the survey would most likely include illegal immigrants seeking employment. Under Joe Biden’s leadership, the BLS has clearly shown foreign-born workers gaining employment at the expense of native-born Americans.
The BLS also reported an increase of 81,000 jobs in the healthcare sector and 49,000 in the leisure and hospitality sector. The information and manufacturing sectors stayed flat for the past month.
For the past five months, the government has hired people at record levels. The government continues to pile on debt on the backs of American’s under Biden’s leadership which the Treasury Department reported to be $34.6 trillion.
